5 Outfit Ideas to Make Getting Dressed Fun
This Week on Runway to Reality: Confidence, Black Sets & a Head Scarf
Okay fabulous, this week is a whole vibe.
But before we get into the outfits, I want to tell you something.
Last week changed something in me.
I created The Style Hour because I wanted to show women how easy it can be to look at outfit inspiration, figure out what is actually catching your eye, and turn that idea into something that works in your own closet.
I created it for YOU.
What I did not expect was how much teaching it would remind me why I care so deeply about this work.
There is something powerful about getting dressed, looking in the mirror, and thinking:
“YES. There she is.”
That moment matters.
Feeling confident matters.
And no, it is not “just clothes.”
What we wear can change the way we stand, the way we walk into a room, the way we show up in a photo, and sometimes simply the way we feel about ourselves that day.
If you missed The Style Hour, you can still watch the replay. I was VERY animated—shocking, I know—but I had so much fun showing exactly how I take an inspiration photo and make it completely my own.
And that brings us to this week’s Runway to Reality.
Monday: Sporty Casual, But Make It Glam
Yes, I am wearing leggings.
And yes, leggings are still fabulous when you know how to wear them.
I’m starting with leggings and an oversized tee, but instead of stopping at “I just left the gym,” I’m taking it somewhere a little more glamorous.
Jewelry. Sunglasses. A fabulous bag. Maybe a little attitude.
Because casual does not have to mean invisible.
Tuesday: White Eyelet + Shorts
Tuesday is feminine, flirty, and a little unexpected.
I’m taking a white eyelet dress and wearing it open at the bottom with shorts underneath.
I love an outfit that makes you look twice.
You still get the softness and femininity of the eyelet, but the shorts make it feel fresh, easy, and much more playful.
Wednesday: The Shorts Set
Wednesday is a shorts set.
And yes...it is black.
Apparently we are having a black moment this week.
I love a matching set because it does so much of the work for you.
Two pieces. Outfit basically done.
Then your shoes, bag, jewelry, and accessories turn it into YOUR version.
Thursday: The Pant Set
And Thursday?
Another set.
Also black.
It is a vibe.
This time I’m wearing a pant set, and I love how instantly polished a matching set can feel without requiring a lot of thought.
This is exactly the kind of outfit I love for a day when I want to look pulled together but do not want to stand in front of my closet trying on six different combinations.
Friday: Tahoe, a Concert...and a Head Scarf
Friday is going to be fun.
I’m heading to Lake Tahoe for a beach day and then going to a concert right there on the beach.
So the outfit has a job to do.
It needs to work at the lake, still look cute later, and feel like me.
And I have decided I’m attempting a head scarf.
Yes.
A head scarf.
This is me pushing myself a little.
And I actually love that.
Personal style does not mean finding one look and wearing it forever.
Sometimes it means trying one tiny thing that is just outside your comfort zone and seeing what happens.
Maybe you put it on and immediately take it off.
Or maybe you look in the mirror and think:
“Wait...I kind of love this.”
That is the fun part.
There Is A LOT Happening Right Now
If last week’s Style Hour made you realize you want to understand your style on a much deeper level, my brand-new 12-Week Confident Style Method™ VIP Founding Cohort begins September 1.
We are going to work through your personal style, your closet, dressing the body you have today, outfit formulas, shopping smarter, accessories, color, and so much more—and we are doing it together.
And if you want to come experience Runway to Reality with me IN PERSON, Sip Into Style is coming up too.
Brunch. Wine. Fall fashion. Runway to Reality live.
Basically...
We have a LOT of getting dressed to do.
And I cannot wait.
Let’s get dressed!
